VetIMMUNE® PI is a patented blend of bioactive polyprenyls from American mulberry. Using advanced technology, it delivers physiologically relevant quantities of these essential natural signaling molecules for proper organism growth and functioning.
Can VetIMMUNE® PI harm my cat or dog?
No. Multiple research studies have shown that VetIMMUNE® PI did not show side-effects even at higher doses and during long-term use, including in cats treated for over ten years. VetIMMUNE® PI was successfully used in cats across 46 countries since 2006 with no adverse event reported. Research links available below.
What is the function of polyprenyls?
All living organisms are made of cells separated and surrounded by membranes. Polyprenol phosphates, or Polyprenyls, are naturally occurring molecules present in minute quantities in the membranes of all living organisms. Polyprenyls are biologically active and required for proper cell growth and normal organism functioning in protein modification and signaling in various metabolic processes.
The importance of innate immune response and how VetIMMUNE® PI supports it.
Innate immune response is the body's first line of defense, consisting of rapid, genetically pre-coded cellular responses to threats. Innate immune response is universal and naturally occurs in all organisms; it is also broad-range and does not require activation by vaccines. This universal immune response relies on functional white blood cells of specific types: eutrophils, monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells that "devour" agents and control the inflammatory process, gamma-delta-T-cells that mount a quick response, and other cells. Innate immune response is mediated by cytokines, including antiviral proteins like interferons. Research has shown that polyprenyls in VetIMMUNE® PI enhance and support appropriate innate immune responses serving as intracellular signals for normal functions of immune cells such as leukocytes macrophages/monocytes, neutrophils) and gamma-delta T-cells.
Polyprenyls in VetIMMUNE® PI have been found to upregulate cytokine expression in
human cell cultures. Most notably, healthy cats receiving VetIMMUNE® PI show upregulation of interferons in their blood leukocytes. This supports VetIMMUNE® PI's enhancement of non-specific, innate immune response, which helps build robust immune responses.
Studies by Harvard University researchers have demonstrated that polyprenyls
act as stop signals in support of normal inflammatory response and also have antioxidative effects. Other research suggests that polyprenyls may help the proper functioning of the liver.
The best-studied health supplement.
VetIMMUNE® PI's polyprenyls have been extensively studied in veterinary clinical trials and used globally in cats and other animals for two decades. These studies have consistently reported the benefits of VetIMMUNE® PI in enhancing immune response, maintaining a normal inflammatory response, and healthy homeostasis.
VetIMMUNE® PI supports overall health in cats and dogs of all ages, including long-term use.
