How much Polyprenyl Immunostimulant™ do you need for FIP?
Please always work with your veterinarian on all issues related to the treatment of your cat. Our calculator is intended to show you an example based on Dr. Legendre’s extensive research and field trials but it is up to you and your veterinarian to decide how to treat your cat with Polyprenyl Immunostimulant™.
The dose of Polyprenyl Immunostimulant™ depends on the weight of your cat. Dr Legendre recommends 3mg/kg (1.5mL/kg) every other day or three times per week, orally, for Feline Infectious Peritonitis. The single maximum dosage may be adjusted from 5mL to 7.5mL, and the frequency may be adjusted from every other day to daily on a per-case basis. The treatment may be tapered or stopped per your veterinarian’s advice.
Our online Polyprenyl Immunostimulant™ calculator uses Dr. Legendre’s recommendations and gives you an idea of the dosage for the treatment of FIP for your cat. Both calculators allow you to enter your cat’s weight in lb or kg. Please keep in mind that your veterinarian may recommend a different dose/frequency.
Our FIP calculators help you estimate the single dose amount, and how many vials you may need for a two week-period. Per Dr. Legendre, it takes two to three weeks to see the cat’s response.
